About

As the title of the page suggests this is a page about me. I will not be positng to many details here for reasons that will become clear later on.

I am a 28 (now 29) year old software engineer. I will not say who I work for or my name as I would not want my bosses to find out. I have been working in software for over 6 years. I have a university degree in a subject closely related to software engineering.

If I'm a software engineer why am I spread betting? Well the answer is simple. To make money. I want to be my own boss and work for myself but I have never really been that sure how I was going to achieve this. Now I know. Spread betting is going to be my exit from the rat race of working for someone else.

I need to clear one thing up before I carry on. If you are looking for a get rich quick scheme then look else where. Spread betting is not for the faint hearted and will almost certainly not make you rich quickly unless you get extremely lucky. Spread betting or any form of trading in stocks, shares, FOREX or indices requires a great deal of skill and disapline. The likes of which I am still learning. The way I see it Spread betting is my way to get rich slow with the possibility of it being quick.

I started spread betting back in February 2009. I like many other people took it on thinking how hard can it be. I have always had a keen interest in stocks and shares, I keep my eye on the markets surely I can make money doing it too. So I thought I'd open an account with £50 and see how I got on. I mean £50 not much and I could turn it into £100, £200 or more. I promptly lost this in the first week or so of opeing an account. So I added more to the account. Then I realised that I could get bonuses from Spread betting companies just for joining them, so over the course of the next year or so I opened a total of 5 spread betting accounts.

So what do I aim to achieve from spread betting?

Well,  I aim to be making a living from spread betting within the next 5 years. To do this I need to be making a consistent profit of around £2000 a month. Which equates to around £100 a day. When you break it down to this it seems like it will be a fairly easy thing to do. In order for me to achieve this it's going to take alot of work.

In my experience achieving £100 a day seems like such a massive target. At the minuite I think I would be happy if I could consistently make £1 a day.

So what do I need to do to make £100 a day?

Well this is the answer that I do not yet know. I am however, going to find out. Keep checking back as One day this question will be answered.
